We love to see new faces on Sunday morning. Whether you’re curious about Christianity, new to the faith, or a long-standing Christian, you are welcome to worship with us!
For the curious: we want you to know the good news of salvation by grace through faith in Jesus Christ. He alone is the way, the truth and the life. He alone saves sinners from the terrible fate of an eternity separated from God’s presence. As you come through our doors, you will find sinners redeemed by the One True God, a family of imperfect Christians walking alongside a perfect Savior. We love you and we open our arms to you.
For those new to the faith: we want you to grow in your faith, to live a life worthy of the calling of Christ by the grace of God through the power of the Holy Spirit. We want you to come to value the Word of God, true worship, fervent prayer, spiritual growth, fellowship, service through the use of spiritual gifts and evangelism. We are committed to serving and training you as you work out your salvation in fear and trembling.
For long-standing Christians: we welcome you in fellowship to embrace the Great Commission and the vision of our church family, living a life of humble service to our great God and King!
We do not walk alone as Christians. We are excited to meet you!

When is it? Our service begins at 10:30a on Sunday mornings. It is preceded by a Sunday School hour that we invite you to check out.
Where is it? We are on Kiester Road between Route 8 and South Main Street. Here are directions from various landmarks, as well as a small map.
What about my kids? You are welcome to keep your children with you through the service. Nursery care is available for infants through 3-year-olds. Children age 4-8 are welcome to go to Children’s Church when dismissed.
Worship Style : We celebrate a blended service, utilizing both traditional hymns and contemporary songs. Our worship team most often consists of guitar(s), bass guitar, piano, drums and passionate voices.
Attire : You will see a wide range of clothing at our services. Suits? Yes. Dresses? Yes. Casual? Yes. Our only hope is that you will not seek to be a distraction for others in attendance through matters of clothing.
Communion : On the first Sunday of each month, we rejoice in the Lord’s Supper as a church family towards the end of the worship service. We celebrate open communion at Slippery Rock Alliance. You do not need to be a technical member. If your testimony includes repentance from sin and a profession of faith in Jesus Christ as Lord and Savior, you are welcome to enjoy the blessing of breaking the bread. We serve juice rather than wine during our communion services. If you are suffering from a particular affliction, we conclude each communion service with an open invitation to be anointed and prayed over by the elders.
Baptism : We do celebrate a believer’s baptism for any who have made a profession of faith in Jesus Christ. Baptism services are scheduled as needed. Please contact the church if you wish to publicly proclaim your faith in accordance with the Scriptures through the sacrament of baptism.
